Fear and joy vocalizations in context
The following videos are a subset of 116 video clips that were used in the study (Experiment 2):
Atias, D., Todorov, A., Liraz, S., Eidinger, A., Dror, I., Maymon, Y., & Aviezer, H. (2019). Loud and unclear: Intense real-life vocalizations during affective situations are perceptually ambiguous and contextually malleable. Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, 148(10), 1842–1848. https://doi.org/10.1037/xge0000535
Each video includes a visual presentation of an authentic positive or negative emotional event and a positive (joyful) or negative (fearful) real-life vocal reaction. This set was designed to measure the effects of visual contextual information on the perceived valence of real-life vocalizations.

Laughter and crying vocalizations in context
The following videos are a subset of 108 video-clips that were used in the study (Experiment 2):
Atias, D., & Aviezer, H. (under review). Context shapes emotion perception and prosocial behavior to real-life laughter and crying vocalizations regardless of their perceptual properties.
Each video includes a visual presentation of an authentic positive or negative emotional event, combined with a positive (laughter) or negative (crying) real-life vocal reaction. This set was designed to measure the effects of visual contextual information on the perceived valence of real-life vocalizations.
